Thank you, ALSC!

I am honored to be profiled on the ALSC Blog this month!  Thanks so much to Mary R.Voors, the ALSC Blog Manager, for putting time into this and for asking fun questions!  It is such a privilege to be spotlighted.     

If you are not familiar with ALSC, it is the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of ALA (American Library Association).  The organization is committed to providing quality library services to youth of all ages and fostering literacy development.  ALSC is also the sponsor of several of the most prestigious children's literature awards including the Caldecott, Newbery, Sibert, Belpre, and Wilder Medals.

If you are a children's or school librarian and are not involved with ALSC, I would highly recommend getting to know the organization.  It's an outstanding group of talented, passionate people doing great things for children, literacy, and libraries.
